- Make it a Constant- When traveling, it’s important to understand the importance of exercise when it comes to your healthy living lifestyle and make it a constant in your day. Make a plan to set aside half an hour or an hour every other day to exercise. Don’t make excuses, just do it.
- Use What you Have- Don’t have access to weights or dumbbells? Can’t find a gym? Use what you have. A playground at a local park will have plenty of equipment you can use for a full body workout. Use gravity, push and pull activities, squats, exercise bands, resistance, isolation exercises to get a great workout.
- Track Your Progress- There’s an app for everything these days, and quite a few that will help you remain consistent with your exercise program so you can get healthy. Find an app that will not only help you keep track of your progress, but also will set up reminders so you don’t accidentally forget your next workout time.
- Set Priorities- When you’re traveling, it can be hard to stick to your healthy living lifestyle, especially if you have friends and co-workers who want to have a bit of your time. Set your priorities and stick to them. If physical exercise and exercise really means a lot to you, then forego a night of drinking with your friends that will leave you with a big headache and likely sleep deprived. You are better off setting a time reasonable time to “call it night” to ensure you get enough rest, so you can get up the next morning and workout to physically, mentally and emotionally ready for the day. You may also want to avoid those greasy, processed foods at restaurants and choose healthier alternatives. The best thing to do is learn about a “super-food” nutritional system that is simple, easy, nutritionally dense, affordable, satisfying and travel friendly. Once you start, you will realize it is the best way to travel and keep your health on track. You won’t regret it.
